Plant Health Treatment

For 5000 rootstocks/ha (2m/1m): 

1. Dead wood crushing ("broyage") (1h/ha) : vine shoots ("sarments") crushing.
   
   
2. Weeding ("désherbage") (2h/ha) : of 1/3 of the surface under the stocks only; in 2 trips.
   
   
3. Plant health treatment (2h/ha) : thanks to the environmental friendly approach ("agriculture raisonnée"), 6 or 7 treatments are done on each face; before this approach, we were doing 3 or 4 treatments more.
   
   
4. Grass mowing (7h/ha) : 4 times a year on every row with grass.
   
   
5. Trimming ("rognage") (5h/ha ) : 5 times a year trimming of the top part of the branches is done to let the machines go through.
   
   
6. Mechanical clearing (2h30/ha)
   
   
7. Mechanical harvest (2h15 /ha)
   

Soil work

1. Decompactor ("décompacteur") (2h30/ha) : outil à dents rigides qui provoque des lignes de ruptures dans le sol, sans remontée de mottes en surface. Passage 1 fond sur 2 tous les 3 ans, à l’automne après les vendanges.
   
   
2. Light disks (1h30/ha) : outil effectue un désherbage entre les rangs par retournement de la terre, laissant un sol motteux. Intervention au printemps.
   
   
3. Rotavator (1h30/ha) : outil effectuant un découpage du sol avec éclatement des mottes qui permet d’avoir une surface plane. intervention au printemps.
